International Folklore Festival Caucasus-2018

Date and Location of Festival: Georgia, City of Poti; City of Kobuleti, City of Batumi – 1-10 July 2018. 

Goal of the Festival:
•    Development of folklore arts; popularization of the world folklore culture; sharing of experience between participants; empowerment of mutual respect and tolerance; deepening of creative contacts; popularization of Georgian and world folklore arts; improvement of the level of qualification of choreographers;
Festival Participants: Folklore groups from different countries of the world and different regions of Georgia (ages not limited) take part in the Festival.
Participation Conditions: Participants present two shows (3-5 minutes each) in the following nominations: folklore dances, folklore songs (ensembles and individual); songs and romances; folklore handcraft arts (exhibitions).  In the final conclusive concert participating artists will present only one show.  Music can be live or phonogram.  With the application Festival participants submit their program (audio, video files of their previous shows, materials necessary to be published in the newspaper and Festival booklet).  Festival participants will be awarded with the Festival Laureate Diplomas and different presents.

•    Arrival and accommodation of the Festival participants.

July 2, City of Poti
•    Reception of the heads of delegations in the Mayor’s Office of Poti;
•     16.00 – Festival opening and parade of participants in Poti;
•     17.00 – First concert;
•     20.00 – Fireworks.

July 3 – City of Batumi
•    Reception of the heads of delegations in the Mayor’s Office of Batumi;
•    16.00 – parade of the Festival participants in Batumi;
•    17.00 – Festival concert;
•    20.00 – Fireworks.

July 4 – City of Kobuleti
•    11.00 - 17.00 – Festival concert in the Culture and Recreation Park of Kobuleti (open air stage).

July 5 – City of Batumi
•    10.00 – 12.00 - excursion;
•    12.00 – Reception of the heads of delegations at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara;
•    13.00 – parade of Festival participants in Batumi;
•    14.00 – 20.00 – Concert in the Arts and Music Center of Batumi.

July 6 – City of Batumi
•    Free day/excursions

July 7 – City of Batumi
•    11.0 0 – Excursion;
•    13.00 – parade of the Festival participants in Batumi;
•    15.00 - 20.00 – Gala Concert and awarding ceremony in Batumi.

July 8
•    11.00 - 15.00 – Scientific-Practical Conference;
•    16.00 - 18.00 – Master-class.

July 9
•    11.00 - 15.00 – Scientific-Practical Conference;
•    16.00 - 18.00 – Master-class.

Festival funding: According to self-funding principle each foreign participating groups pay the following fee per participant of their group:
